Jewellery

Attendance

Maximising attendance is one of our highest priorities and we have recently seen huge improvements in our attendance rates. To assist us in furthering our aims, please adhere to the following guidelines.

If your child is not well enough to attend, please contact the school office to inform us before registration and send in a written note with children when they return to school.

Absences without explanation are classed by the school as unauthorised. If a child builds up a number of unauthorised absences, they will be referred to the school attendance officer.

Children arriving after the close of the register at 9:00am but before it is closed at 9.25am will receive a late mark.  Children arriving after the close of registration and without a valid reason for being late (such as attending a dentist or medical appointment) will be classed as an unauthorised absence.

Medical Needs

For children who have specific medical needs, we draw up an individual healthcare plan, working closely with representatives from healthcare agencies.

For children who require prescribed medication to be administered within school hours, we appreciate the co-operation of parents in assisting us with this, but will administer prescribed medication in line with guidelines laid out in our policy.

Dinner time

Children have the option of going home for dinner, bringing a packed lunch or having a hot dinner made on the premises.  Meals are of a high quality, made from fresh ingredients by talented catering staff. If you are eligible for free school meals, please do not hesitate to take up this option. Our office staff will only be too happy to provide help and advice with this.

Snacks

Children from Nursery to Year 2 will receive milk and fruit every day. Milk is free until the term children turn five years old, or unless your child is eligible for free school meals. School milk is £6.80 per half term and can be paid via Parentpay.  Fruit is free and available to all children in EYFS and KS1 without cost. Toast is available for Reception, KS1 & 2 children every day at a weekly charge of £1, which is to paid via Parentpay. As a healthy school, we encourage children to bring nutritious snacks for breaktime. As such, we do not permit crisps, sweets or biscuits for morning break.
